D'Angelo's Family Does La Fortuna

La Fortuna, Costa Rica is a great travel destination vacation if you don't have much time in the country.

D'Angelo's family had never been to Costa Rica, so we thought La Fortuna would be the perfect vacation destination for 2 very good reasons. One, his family only had 7 days for vacation and 2, they didn't want to spend half their vacation in a car... oh and 3, for this trip, they didn't seem to be interested in doing the 'beach thing'. And of course living here in Fortuna, we do know a few things and a few people... but I promise, that was not the main reason we picked our hometown of La Fortuna. *Not saying there's not other places in Costa Rica that someone couldn't spend 7 days and 6 nights.... but you'd be hard pressed to find another town in Costa Rica with so much to offer.

This is a little video D'Angelo put together:

Thank you soooo much for this video. January 2011 I was 4 weeks in Costa Rica, living by a "Tico-familiy", learning spanish in the morning and in the afternoon I was visiting some places which are shown in your video, LOVELY!. By the way: My spanish teacher recommend me this web site: www.livemocha.com to increase my spanish language, it's free of charge and really good. My nick name is: Pura Vida (of course;-).
All the best for you from Germany. PURA VIDA

Hi there!

We really enjoy all the tips you guys post! You guys seem sincere and enjoyable to watch. We are planning a trip there soon to San Jose. We have traveled to Costa Rica numerous times and love it and its Ticos. We plan to retire in a couple of years and truly thinking to moving to Costa Rica. We are doing our homework as you see. this time we plan to look at more places and travel about by bus or cabs. Do you have any suggestions on where we should look to retire on a moderated income? Beach vs Mountains.
